Glen Villa resorts project by North Coast Fencing in Byron Bay.
North Coast Fencing gave Australian Fencing Awards some key information on their Glen Villa resorts project.
Challenges involved in the project
- Keeping the site secure- Front Entrance for resort with customers still moving about
- Cutting driveway entrance out & keeping gate running level as there was a 250mm camber in the road.
- Using brand new products first in Australia for a Telescopic sliding gate
- Running 2 x 6 mtr openings back into the centre in a space of 3.5 mtrs

Outcome of the project
- The outcome was we had to cut & pour concrete 2 mtrs wide, excavate one side at a time and build in situ without blocking any traffic.
- The gates using this new design eliminate all the guide ropes & pulleys & takes all the play & slop out of stretched cords etc. Very neat & compact & owner & manager were very pleased with this outcome.
This project by North Coast Fencing has been nominated in the Australian FENCING Awards 2021.
