Challenges involved in the project
Sourcing timber suitable for timber gates in regional Australia was our first challenge! After subcontracting out the gates to be built originally and being presented with a set of substandard gates, Paul decided to build them himself instead. Our biggest challenge was finding the time to build them.
Products utilised on the project
PH Fencing used Select Grade KD 140 and 90mm Merbau – non reeded timber from Bunnings. Gal cuphead bolts from our local Complete Steel supplier, Cabots New timber Prep, Deck Clean (Bunnings) and Weatherguard WB Decking Oil – Merbau tinted from Petries.
Outcome of the project
A set of installed Double Cross Brace Gates to span a 6m opening and one happy client!
PH Fencing has been nominated in the Australian FENCING Awards 2020.
