HIA emphasises the importance of worksite safety during National Safe Work Month

National Safe Work Month

Today (October 1 2020) is the start of National Safe Work Month— and while safety is always important this October provides a great opportunity to continue to talk about and promote safe and healthy worksites.

“National Safe Work Month presents an important opportunity to engage with our members and the industry more broadly on safety, and for workplaces to encourage further discussions about safety on site,” said HIA Managing Director, Graham Wolfe.

“For Safe Work Month this year HIA’s theme is— Site Safety Matters and we invite everyone to promote best practice work health and safety initiatives at their workplace.”

During Safe Work Month, HIA will launch a range videos and resources on themes including safety basics, apprentices matter, mental health safety and how HIA can help businesses meet their safety obligations and maintain safe workplaces.
